About
I'm Sarah (S.F.) Henne - Author Accelerator Certified Book Coach & fantasy author.
I have a burning passion for all things fantasy and love helping other authors bring their amazing fantasy stories to life. Together we can tackle the daunting task of writing a novel and bring that fantasy story burning within your heart to life.

What to expect from me?

Ink & Magic Books is an safe place for people from all communities.

What content I don't work with:
Excessively violent/dark stories or erotica (If you are unsure if you fall under this feel free to reach out to clarify) Stories that sexist, derogatory, racist, or attacks marginalized groups.

Now you might be wondering why I added what I don't work with, the fact is that I want to work with authors and stories that I can be just as passionate about as you are. Establishing rules and boundaries is an important part of any relationship, and I want to be upfront about what I do and don't accept. There are many book coaches out there and it's the best for you and your story to find the coach that fits your needs.

What is a book coach?
A mentor, an editor, and a cheerleader all in one. They can help you at any stage of the writing process.
A sounding board for creative ideas. They bring clarity and focus to the creative process so that writers reach their goals.
A committed partner. They often work with writers for months or years at a time, providing accountability and consistency.
An independent expert. They run their own businesses and offer coaching based on their skills and expertise.
As with all types of editors, ensure you research what exactly they offer and their qualifications. Many editors can just become writing/book coaches without any training. Using a company like Author Accelerator can ensure you get a well trained book coach, one who has been through an intensive nine month course and certified to meet the high standards of the company.
The biggest difference between a book coach and an editor is that you give a product to an editor, they use their expertise to improve it and give it back to you. It’s transactional. While a book coach works with you side by side to help improve not only the story but understanding the craft better. We are a team. We are here to support and bring new insight to who you are as a writer. Give you the stepping stones to improve your abilities.
What sets Author Accelerator Certified Book Coaches apart?
Unlike many other coaches and editors, these book coaches are trained by Jennie Nash and dive deeper into the story than others. They look for the beating heart of the story, the reason behind why you must tell this story. The questions they ask poke and prod, getting the author to dive deeper than the surface level. They look for that burning reason you must tell this story and help you to tap into it.
They also help you to find the right coach by specific criteria such as:
Coaching style, Services, Courses, Genre, Reader age category, Coach capacity for new clients, Languages, Time zone, LGBTQ+ topics, Religious topics, Political topics, Low/Mid/High touch, Coach certification genre
Why are coaches helpful?

Accountability - they will hold the schedule you both agreed to
Deadline - many people need deadlines to motivate them to get writing
Sounding Board - having someone to share ideas with and help guide you in the right direction
Outside Eyes - having someone with different ideas that you would never think of, who can see your story without all the backstory and other baggage you have
Feedback - having regular feedback is invaluable and can help fix issues before they disrupt the story.
